Once again due to circumstances beyond our control, the Lido Reno Fun Tournament dates are now Saturday October 13 -14. Attached is the revised flyer and entry form.
Background
The tournament director received many calls over the past month from faithful participants trying to reserve hotel rooms for September 29-30. They shared that room rates were extremely expensive and asked for help. For example, the Sands is charging $140 on that Saturday. Almost all other hotels are charging $200 for that Saturday. Some shared that they weren't able to use their comps in the way they were accustomed.
Solution:
It was not an light decision to change the Tournament dates from September 29-30 to the second weekend in October. However, if participants are not able to reserve hotel rooms, a domino effect occurs; No rooms can cause many not to participate and in turn, possibly not enough participation to hold the Tournament.
We are extremely grateful for finding out about the difficulty of reserving hotel rooms. We also apologize in advance for any inconvenience the date change may cause. Hopefully your calendar can absorb the change and we will see you October 13-14.
